As an engaged American citizen concerned about the future of our country, you don't lend your support to a movement or organization unless you get your questions answered.
We wouldn't have it any other way, which is why we've made it a priority to provide thorough, satisfactory answers to the most common (and not-so-common) questions about Article V and the Convention of States Project.
On our Opposition Response page, you'll find four documents that pose and answer questions about Article V:
These documents, in varying degrees of detail, answer almost any Article V question you may have. Is the Article V process safe? Who controls a Convention of States? If the federal government does not obey the current Constitution, why would they obey an amended version? All of these questions and more are addressed in these four documents.
We especially recommend "Answers to Questions Posed by the John Birch Society." You won't find a more in-depth, thorough response to the 16 most common objections to an Article V Convention of States.
Each of these documents was written or edited by Michael Farris, co-founder of the Convention of States Project and one of the country's premier constitutional scholars. Farris, in conjunction with Professor Rob Natelson, draws on the most current, reliable Article V research and scholarship to answer each question.
If you have a question you can't find in these documents, we want to help! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll do our best to send you an answer as quickly as possible.
