Citizens of Louisiana!
You've been hearing about this moment for months now. You of all people know that our liberty is being taken from us and our Constitution needs to be restored. You also know that a Convention of States is the only sure way restore our liberty and our Constitution. I told you, though, that we couldn't do it alone and that you brave patriots would be called on multiple times to take on the big government establishment.
As you know, HCR2 has been filed in the Louisiana legislature and is referred to the House and Governmental Affairs Committee. We have just gotten word that HCR2 is scheduled to be heard by the committee next Wednesday April 22nd at 9:30am, in House Committee Room 2. The resolution must make it out of this House committee for it to go to the full House floor for a vote. I am asking two things of you:
1.) Call AND email the members of the House and Governmental Affairs Committee below. If you have already called and emailed, I would please ask you to do it again. When it comes to restoring our Founding principles and taking our country back from the big government ruling class, we must be persistent. We cannot let up.

Here is an example of what you can say/write if you do not know what to say/write:
"Hi. My name is [....]. I am [calling or writing you] because Representative [name] is a member of the House and Governmental Affairs Committee and this committee is scheduled to look at House Concurrent Resolution 2, the Convention of States resolution. Our federal government is out of control and a Convention of States is the only solution to this problem. I would like Representative [name] to vote in favor of HCR2, the Convention of States resolution."
2.) We need supporters at the committee hearing next week. We need to let the committee know that We the People will not sit silently while their country is being destroyed by the big government elites in Washington D.C. And having a big showing of COS supporters there will do just that. I would like for you and any of your friends and family to attend if possible. This is a crucial moment in Louisiana. We brave Louisianians must answer the call the same way our Founders answered the call during the Revolutionary War. We aren't fighting a violent war like they were, but we are caught up in a war of two ideas. The idea that society has become to complex to be managed by self-rule, and that an all powerful and unchecked ruling elite in a far distant city is necessary to manage society for us. Or the idea that government exists for the sole purpose of securing our God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; and that the only legitimate form of government is one where it's just powers are derived from the consent of the people. That government of, by and for the people, shall not perish from this earth. I don't know about you, but I choose the latter. I hope you join me and the countless other brave patriots in our state!
