Last North Dakota committee hearing next week

Published in Blog on July 17, 2017 by Convention Of States Project

Want to lend your support to the North Dakota Convention of States Project?

The Senate Government and Veterans Affairs Committee will be reviewing the Convention of States application -- HCR 3014 -- on March 19, and we need to show them the overwhelming support in their state! Please join us for the hearing at the following date and time:

When: Thursday, March 19, at 8:00 a.m.

Where: North Dakota Capitol Building, Brynhild Haugland room

This will likely be your last opportunity to participate in a committee hearing for Convention of States in North Dakota. If we are successful next week, the resolution will progress to the Senate floor for a final vote. If the Senate hears enough support from their constituents and votes in favor of the resolution, North Dakota will become the fourth state to PASS the Convention of States application. This is history in the making.

Please talk to your neighbors, friends, family members, and co-workers and help us gather a big crowd of supporters for this important hearing! If you are interested in participating in a carpool, contact State Director Kurt McSparron, (701) 541-1073, kurt.mcsparron@yahoo.com.

If you aren’t able to attend, you can still help by emailing the following committee members and asking them to vote in favor of HCR 3014.

Vice Chairman, Sen. Nicole Poolman, npoolman@nd.gov

Sen. Dwight Cook, dcook@nd.gov

Sen. Kyle Davison, kdavison@nd.gov

Sen. Tim Flakoll, tflakoll@nd.gov

Your call, letter, or presence at the hearing could be the deciding factor in the success of the COS application next week. Thank you for standing with us in the fight to preserve liberty in our country.
